Rachel E. (Davis) DeGarmo, 90, formerly of Glens Run, Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Mar 27, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Nov. 15, 1913 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late W. Ellsworth and Viola (Ochsenbein) Davis. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Bridgeport. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth H. DeGarmo, a granddaughter Marsha DeGarmo, a brother Leroy Davis, and two sisters Wilhelmina Scott and Loretta Sutton. Surviving are two sons Kenneth "Bob" (Ruth) DeGarmo of Clarksville, OH and William DeGarmo of Greenfield, OH, a brother Ervin "Jack" Davis of Oregon, IL, two sisters Adabelle Schwender Sickle and Ruth Murray both of Martins Ferry, five grandchildren Jerry A. (Barb) DeGarmo, Robert M. (Lois) DeGarmo, Douglas K. DeGarmo, Kay Lynn (Mark) Roberts and Donald W. (Becky) DeGarmo, eleven great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH, Mon., 6-9 PM where services will be held Tue., Mar. 30, 2004 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ronald Grissom officiating. Burial follows Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
