Obituary

Ralph M. Finney, 80, of Pleasant Grove, OH died Sat., Nov. 20, 2004 at home. He was born Sept. 29, 1924 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Robert L. and Lucile H. (Major) Finney, Sr. He was retired from the former Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force WWII, a prisoner of war and recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of American Ex-Prisoners of War, Barbed Wire Group, Disabled American Veterans, and the Colerain Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife Lillian M (Matrose) Finney, a brother Robert Finney, Jr. of Colerain, three sisters Mary King of Pleasant Grove, Eleanor (Joe) Leavey of Beaver, PA, and Sarah Lee (David) Evanczyk of Euclid, IN, several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sun., 6-8 PM and Mon., Nov. 22, 2004 from noon until time of services at 2:00 PM with Rev. John A. Brown officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Colerain Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 96, Colerain, OH 43916.
