Ralph Earl "Kit" Mussard passed on to his eternal home surrounded in thoughts and prayer of his loving wife Shirley Jean Mussard and family on December 10, 2021. Kit was born March 12, 1936, in Martins Ferry, OH to Ralph Earl and Edythe Knight Mussard whom preceded him in death along with brothers Robert Mussard, Roy Mussard, In-laws Cecil and Evelyn Davis and a host of beloved relatives.

Kit leaves behind the love of his life Shirley Jean Mussard whom he married April 27, 1956, and shared 65 years of marriage. There are no words to describe the beautiful life they shared. Together they raised 5 children Darlene (Dave Totterdale) Ray of Piedmont OH, Chris (JoAnna) Mussard of Cookeville, TN, Dale (Rhonda) Mussard of Martins Ferry, OH, Mark (Mary) Mussard of Colerain, OH and Todd (Carolyn) Mussard of Gray, TN all of which truly loved their dad and will cherish his memory.

Kit was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren all of whom he was very proud and in return all affectionately referred to Kit as "PAP". They will truly miss their "PAP".

Kit retired from Consolidated Coal and Wheeling Steel Corporation, but his lifelong job was helping and serving others. Kit loved his family dearly but most of all he loved and praised his Lord and Savior throughout his life and enjoyed reading and talking about the Bible with his family and friends. His most repeated words were "God has been so good to me". He was a faithful member of the Christian Church for over 60 years serving as elder, deacon, Sunday School teacher and at one time a bus driver. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him until we meet again in heaven.

Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside, OH from 1-3 m and 6-8pm on Monday December 13th and 9-11am on Tuesday Dec 14th followed by a service. Graveside services will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville, OH. Bros. Henry Lewis and Bill Fulton will assist the family. Pall Bearers will be Kit's grandsons Mark, Matthew, Derek, Gerald, Dale, Chase, Luke, and Isaac.
