Ralph Henry Schaal, 91, formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed Thursday July 28, 2016 at Dublin Retirement Village, Dublin, OH. He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on February 16, 1925, a son of the late Henry and Tilie Erbe Schaal. Ralph is a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, active member of Belmont Jefferson Beagle Club. He truly enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Catherine L. Schaal and a son Lon Schaal. Ralph is survived by a daughter Amy (Robert) Moberger; grandsons: Jack, Ty, and Chad Moberger, all of Dublin; brothers: Jim Schaal of North Olmsted, OH, Don Schaal of Rayland, OH, Gene Schaal of St. Clairsville; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday 7 to 9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio and also on Tuesday August 2, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Karen Torrez officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ralph's honor to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove.
