Ralph E. Staub Ralph E. Staub, 88, formerly of Wheeling, WV and Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Mar. 31, 2003 at Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling. He was born Apr. 21, 1914 in Franklin Co., PA a son of the late Charles and Ethel Watters Staub. He was a retired meat cutter for A & P Grocery and Dawson's Market of Wheeling. Ralph was a member of the First U. Methodist Church, Eagles Aerie #456, Improved Order of Redman, and the former V.F. W. Post #3613 all of Martins Ferry, American Legion Post #1 of Wheeling, and was a veteran of the US Navy Seabees WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lillian A. Hahn Staub and two brothers Lloyd and Wilson Staub. Surviving are two sons R. James Staub of Wheeling and Rev. Robert K. (Judy) Staub of Warwood, two daughters Beverly (George) Ney of St. Clairsville and Marjorie Ries, two sisters Irma Franklin and Martha Nelson both of Moundsville, seven grandchildren including Brent Staub, Janet (Wesley) Cross, Mindi (Bill) McGilton, Pamela Ney, Wendy Staub and her friend Robert Zinn, David (Nicole) Staub, and Michael (Tricia) Staub. Friends will be received Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thur., Apr. 3, 2003 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center Residence Council, P.O. Box 6316, Wheeling, WV 26003.
