Raymond Michael Kyanko, 76, of Colerain, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Wheeling on January 2, 1945 a son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Yuhasz) Kyanko. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, served his country in the US Army Reserves, recently retired from the Martins Ferry City Schools, was a former member of the Barton Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed traveling and fishing with his grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn (Zavatsky) Kyanko; stepchildren, Eric Kocsis and Erin Kocsis-Elerick; siblings, Richard Kyanko, Roderick (Sherry) Kyanko, Rose Marie (Kevin) Coyle, Ralph (Jean) Kyanko and Reginald (Susie) Kyanko and 2 grandchildren who were the love of his life, Alexander and Juliana Elerick.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Robert and Ronald Kyanko.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where a Vigil Service will be held at 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave, Bridgeport by Father John Mucha. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Barton.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Barton Volunteer Fire Department, 70706 Main St., St. Clairsville, OH 43950 or to the Road Home Animal Project, P.O. Box 522, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
