In Loving Memory of Rebecca Jo Hazelton

Wintersville, Ohio — Rebecca Jo (Boyd) Hazelton, age 55, passed away at home at 5:30 am, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Born on March 4, 1971, Rebecca was the beloved daughter of Carl J. “Buck” and Frances Louise (Burkhead) Boyd. A devoted and faithful wife, Rebecca shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Scott Tyler Hazelton. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and many adventures. She was a deeply loving mother to her son, Samuel Tyler Hazelton, who was the light of her life.

Rebecca was an important and vibrant presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a loyal sister to Debbie (Boyd) Walker (Denny Walker, deceased) and Cindy (Boyd) Iadanza, (Dino Iadanza) and a treasured friend to many. She shared a special relationship with “her bestie”, Nicole Kuntz and they enjoyed many outings together. She enjoyed her extended, “adopted family”, Ernie and Rachel Coleman and their children, who Becky treated as her grandchildren. She was employed at Team Automotive in Steubenville, Ohio and had many cherished friendships amongst her co-workers.

She adored her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, showering them with love at every opportunity. Though she had no pets of her own recently, her immense affection for animals was well known to all. Among her favorite pleasures in life were spontaneous thrifting trips, memorable vacations spent with “The Girls” or her husband. She was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team and of professional wrestling. She delighted in good food, always eager to try new menu items at various restaurants but found equal joy in the quiet comfort of home—especially cozy evenings spent around the firepit with those she loved the most.

Rebecca’s warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. We celebrate the life and the love that we shared with Becky during our time together.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second Street Dillonvale on Sunday August 30, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm and 6-till 8 pm, where services ill be held on Monday at 11 am, with Pastor Scott Kuntz officiating.
