Rebecca Marie Jewel Scheid, 14, of Crestview, Florida passed away June 11, 2016 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was born July 24, 2001 a daughter of Michael and Roxanne (Compton) Scheid. Rebecca was a student at Crestview High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crestview, Fl. She was a very sensitive young lady who was environmentally conscious and she loved animals. Rebecca was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Helen Marie (Reynolds) Compton. In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister, Klarissa Scheid of Pensacola, FL; paternal grandparents, Brenda and John Jurovcik of Blaine; Maternal grandfather, Bobby Houston Compton of Texarkana, TX; uncles Russell Scheid of Martins Ferry, Ben (Laurie) Houston of GA, and Robert (Amber) Clint of Austin, TX; an aunt Harriett (Alan) Hunter of New Concord, OH; and several cousins. Friends will be received on Friday, June 17, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, OH where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Interment will follow at Linwood cemetery in Blaine.
