Reese Wilson McAninch, 97, of Harrisville, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital.  He was born on January 25, 1926, in Harrisville the only child of Floyd and Lena (Bane) McAninch.  Wilson was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, and served his country in the United States Navy during WWII on board the USS Woodson in the Pacific Theater.  He was a member of the Belmont Masonic Lodge #0016 and the Adena American Legion Post 525.  Wilson was self employed as a carpenter and prior to that retired from the Henry Bierce Co., of Tallmadge, OH.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and camping at Atwood Lake where he taught his daughter to water ski.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Kelly-McAninch and Deborah McAninch.

Wilson was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty (Fagley) McAninch in 2018.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside.
