REGINA L. "JEANNIE" CARPETER Regina L. "Jeannie" Carpenter, 85, of Quaker City, Ohio, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Emerald Pointe. She was born November 5, 1929 in Bailey Mills, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry L. Pekari and Eunice H. Steele Pekari. Jeannie, as she was known to everyone, touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a homemaker and made most of all the clothing for her children. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Jeannie's greatest gift from God was her family and she loved them deeply. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester W. Carpenter; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Robert Wells; one niece and one nephew. Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Connie (David) Bunting of Barnesville, Ohio; sons, Rick (Kari) Carpenter, Monty (MaryLou) Carpenter all of Quaker City, Ohio, Kim (Brenda) Carpenter of Bethesda, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy and Bradley, Micky and Mindy, Paige and Cole, Kayla and Kyle; and ten great-grandchildren. A Vigil Service will begin at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday 10 a.m., Assumption Catholic Church, 306 W. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Father Dave Cornett presiding. Interment will follow at Guernsey County Memory Gardens, Cambridge, Ohio. The family would like to thank Hospice of Guernsey County and the staff at Emerald Pointe, whom Jeannie thought of as her family, for all their care and love given to Jeannie.
