Regina M. (Walling) Lavy, 92, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Harbinger, NC. She was born November 11, 1927 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Joseph T. and Margaret (O'Neill) Walling.

She was a retired Registered Nurse with over 40 years of service at the former Martins Ferry Hospital.

Regina was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Lavy, 09/23/2019, and siblings: Patrick, Elizabeth, and Thomas Walling.

Surviving are her children: Catherine (James) Kovalcik of Martins Ferry, Cynthia (Frank) Fregiato of St. Clairsville, OH, Jeannine (Rod) Repka of Easton, PA, Roberta (Milo) Hyde of Harbinger, NC, Denise Robinson of Rayland, OH and Robert (Susan) Lavy of Sterling, VA, grandchildren: Dr. Ben Kovalcik, Carrie (Kovalcik) and Mark Ramsey, Jamie (Kovalcik) and Jason Cash, Tessa (Fregiato) and Nick Keyes, Dustin and Erica (Fitch) Fregiato, Kelly (Repka) and Phil Melick, Lucas and Kelly (Degenhardt) Repka, Milo and Cristina (Campenella) Hyde, Katie Hyde, Matthew and Ashley (Whipkey) Robinson and Shayla Robinson and 21 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH on Thursday, 3-7 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry with Rev. Tom Marut officiating.
