Richard A. DeVaul 66, of Martins Ferry, passed away Sunday April 18, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center Columbus. He was born June 14, 1954 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Glenn E. and Arbutice (Hughes) DeVaul. He was a retired employee of Mayflower Vehicle System Shadyside, a member and former trustee of the Martins Ferry Elks and the PNA of Martins Ferry, and a part time security officer for the Martins Ferry Yacht Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Butch and Glenn DeVaul. Richard is survived by his children Aimee (Matt) DeVaul, and Justin (Brittney) DeVaul both of Martins Ferry, his siblings John (Melissa) DeVaul of Bridgeport, Chuck DeVaul of Rayland, and Dianna (Bob) Kolb of Harrisburg, PA, grandchildren Gaige Brautigam, and Lilliana DeVaul, his girlfriend Rose Barton, also several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long time best friend, Greg Gildow. Rick was a very down to earth, simple man. The family encourages his loved ones to come as they are. A simple life was what Rick lived.
