TOGETHER AGAIN: Richard T. "Dick" Futey, 88, of Colerain, Ohio, died Friday October3, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.He was born August 10, 1926 in Wolfhurst, Ohio, a son of Stephen and Stella Futey.Dick worked at Y & O Coal, Ohio Valley Dairy and retired from Wheeling Steel. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Navy and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Upon retiring he enjoyed traveling, with his wife Lil and children to his Navy Reunions. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He devoted his life to his family.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lil (Mitan) Futey, whom he married on July 31, 1948, his brother Stephen Futey, and his sister, Ruth Coss.Dick is survived by his two children, Craig (Connie) of Adena, Ohio and Doreen (Gary) Moscato also of Adena, Ohio.Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tiffany Mahon of Adena, Tyler (Stevie-lyn) Moscato of California, Ryan (Melissa) Alexander of Columbus, Ohio and Nathan Alexander of Florida; six great-grandchildren, Brayden Mahon, Braxton Namack, Aubrey Moscato , Bailey Moscato, Avery Alexander and Ryder Alexander and nieces and nephews.Friends and family will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside on Sunday from 1-3 pm where full military services will be held by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 1 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 1 pm at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Colerain, Ohio with Fr. Tim McGuire as celebrant. Entombment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Pleasant Grove, Ohio. A luncheon will follow at the St. Frances Cabrini Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Colerain Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 3 Colerain, Ohio 43916.
