Richard Dale Gould, 85 of Bridgeport passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 19, 1939, in Bridgeport the son of the late Willard Gould and Waneta (Coss) Bulick.

He was retired from the Martins Ferry Police Department, a veteran of the United States Army, past state president of the WV – F.O.E., a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, attended the FBI Academy of Forensic Evidence in Quantico.  Richard was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoying golfing, fishing, bowling, and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Harding.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Ann (Snodgrass) Gould, children; Rick Braun, wife, Daisy; Kelly Dopkiss, husband, Gerald; Dale Gould, wife, Charlene; Tracey Bennett, husband, Jeff; and Mona Redinger, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings; Jerry, Marty, Eddie and Freddie Gould, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life, Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 12-4pm at the Foresters Club, 55939 West Second St., Bridgeport, OH 43912.  The Belmont County Verterans Association will conduct Full Military Services at 3pm.
