Obituary

Together Again:

Richard Lee "Dick" Conaway, 74 of Bridgeport passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.  He was born November 4, 1949, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Arthur R. and Helen (Stanchina) Conaway.

Dick was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp, Steubenville Plant, a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Vietnam War Conflict, a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, he enjoyed fishing and was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Burch) Conaway in 2017, a sister, Helen Marie Holdaway, and brother, Ed Conaway, stepdaughter Kammy Hall, and fur baby, Kayla.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael Conaway, Michelle Cieslewski, stepchildren, Nick Pappas, Lisa Hedrick and Terri Mcdermott, grandchildren, Jalynn Conaway, Derek Schybal, Vickie Markle, Cory Runner, and brother, Arthur "Butch" (Betty) Conaway, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 4-8 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, OH 43912.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 9:30am at the funeral home with Fr. John Mucha officiating.  Burial to follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine with full Military Services provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association.  To leave online condolences please visit www.wilsonfuneralhomes.com.
