Richard P. "Dick" Matesic, 66, of S. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at home. He was born Nov. 13, 1941 in Wheeling, WV a son of Rose (Mazelon) Matesic and the late Edward "Dick" Matesic. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife Kathleen (Dwyer) Matesic, a son Richard P. "Dick"(Melissa) Matesic, II, of Senecaville, OH, two daughters Monica (Scott) Foster of Dublin, OH and Lorrie (David) Barritt of Martins Ferry, three sisters Brenda (Dan) McGrew of Pin Oak, WV, Kathy (Larry) Kavage of Martins Ferry and Marsha (Ed) Coukart of East Liverpool, OH, and six grandchildren Zach and Ethan Foster, Tyler and Deric Matesic, and Jake and Lissy Barritt, and many special friends, especially Don Veloski. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating.
