Richard A. "Mac" McFarland, 67, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born June 30, 1945 in Martins Ferry a son of the late John L. and Beatrice (Kinney) McFarland. Mac retired from the Yorkville plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and the Martins Ferry Public Library. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Polish National Alliance Club both of Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers; C. William and Robert K. McFarland. Surviving are his wife Patty L. (Bigelow) McFarland, his children; Lori Moreland of Colerain, John P. (Tiffany) McFarland and Brian (Casey) McFarland both of Martins Ferry, brothers; Thomas J. (Annie) McFarland of Colerain and James P. (Betty) McFarland of Sunset Heights and seven grandchildren; Shae and Brady Moreland, Mike, Richard, and John McFarland, and Lauren & Ella McFarland. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday 12-3 and 6-8 pm where services will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev.
