Obituary

Richard H. "Rick" Kolb 66, of Brookside passed away Saturday February 19, 2022, after a long battle with cancer at his home. He was born January 21, 1956, in Martins Ferry, a son of Margaret (Riddle) Kolb of Bridgeport and the late John Kolb.

He was a retired employee of Midei Service Center in Tiltonsville. Rick was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Brookside, a Veteran of the US Army Reserve, the Bellaire Eagles. 71, the Bridgeport American Legion Post #227, and a member of Bridgeport Masonic Blue Lodge #181. Rick was also Past President of the State of Ohio Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a member of Bridgeport Fire Dept.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Garber.

In addition to his mother Rick is survived by his wife Darla (Paboucek) Kolb, his children Jessica (Jason) Kovacs of Martins Ferry, and Robby (Misty) Kolb of Virginia, his siblings John (Janice) Kolb of Ca, Mike (Melissa) Kolb of Az, David (Yvonne) Kolb of Akron, Chuck (Janis) Kolb of Bridgeport, Dan (Donna) Kolb of Moundsville, and Margaret (Jeff) Kreiter of Bridgeport, his grandchildren Devon, and Adelyn Kovacs, Leigha, and Benton Kolb, also several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Thursday February 24, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and then on Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 56381 National Road Bridgeport from 12 noon till time of service at 1 pm, with Rev. Nancy DeStefano officiating, interment at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full military graveside by the Belmont County Veterans Association. The family would like to thank the entire staff at The James Cancer Hospital of OSU Columbus, Ohio.
