Richard "Dick" Rodgers, 86, of Martins Ferry, died Monday March 29, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. He was born December 10, 1923, the son of the late Will L. and Clara M. (Taylor) Rodgers. Dick was a retired laborer for the Laborer's Local Union #1149 in Wheeling, WV, a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport, Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #181, Bridgeport American Legion Post #521, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Steubenville, and a Navy veteran of WW II. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife Martha (Seese) Rodgers. Dick is survived by two sons, Gary A. Rodgers and his wife Robin (Reger) of Shadyside, Rick Rodgers of Martins Ferry, and a grand daughter Shannan Lee Rodgers of Shadyside. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
