Richard Lee Shirbish, 77, of Akron, Ohio died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Copley Health Care Center. He was born June 4, 1936 in Loomis, Ohio, son of the late Joseph C. Shirbish and Edna V. Arnett Shirbish. Richard had worked as a laborer in the machine industry and was a very caring person. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Shirbish, Frank Shirbish, Joseph Shirbish, James Shirbish, and Jolly Shirbish; sister, Nellie Withrow. Richard is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (Jim) Ross of Indiana, Edna (Bernie) Thompson of Loomis, Ohio, Nancy Bay of Dresden, Ohio, Ann (Vic) Marshall of Colerain, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and friends, Carol and Debbie Francis. At Richard's request, visitation, service, and interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
