Richard J. "Rich" Talasis, 61 of Mt. Pleasant Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Apr. 30, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Aug. 13, 1943 in Martins Ferry a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Gunnish) Talasis. He was retired from the American Electric Power Company Mitchell Plant, and a member of the former V.F.W. Post #3613, Martins Ferry. Rich was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Surviving are his wife Linda J. (Redinger) Talasis, a daughter Rachelle L. Roubanes and her husband Byron of Stone Creek, OH, a son Richard J. "Rick" Talasis, Jr. of Martins Ferry, a brother Robert Talasis and his wife Connie of Martins Ferry, two granddaughters Riley and Kameryn Roubanes and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Mon., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tue., May 3, 2005 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
