Richard "Rex" Theodore Powley Sr., 94, of Dillonvale passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, in Park Health Care Center. He was born on December 2, 1928 in Scio a son of the late Theodore Powley and Matilda (Balvin) Weisgarber.  He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Friends Church, and enjoyed wood working, polka music especially Molly B.

He is survived by his son, Richard (Maryann) Powley Jr.; a son-in-law, Roy Michalo; four grandchildren, Joe (Mindy) Michalo, Rebecca Michalo, Chad (Nikki) Powley and Kyle Michalo; and three great grandchildren, Alex Michalo, Eli Vargo and Connor Powley.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a step-father, Oris Weisgarber; his wife, Louise (Pensis) Powley; a daughter, Robin Michalo; and a sister, Patricia Cliff.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the funeral home, Dr. Wayne Evans former pastor of Mt. Pleasant Friends Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
