Obituary

Richard Alan Turner, 58, of Quaker City, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born October 15, 1957 in Harlan, Kentucky, son of the late Grant Turner and Rose Bowling Galloway. A black belt in Tang-Soo-Do, Richard was an avid sports fanatic, cheering on his favorite team, Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team. He had a great love for his family. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doyle Turner. Richard is survived by his wife of 26 years, Vickie Turner of Quaker City, Ohio; daughters, Venus (Justin) Jenkins of Flushing, Ohio, Patty Blackburn of Barnesville, Ohio; son, David Turner of Georgetown, Ohio; grandchildren, Austin, Dakota, Gary, Grant, and Hayden; great-grandson, Dawson; sisters, Pat (Dave) Huff of Cumberland, Kentucky, Rose Mary (Michael) Kelly of Amelia, Ohio; and brother, Claude (Kay) Turner of Huntsville, Alabama. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Saturday from noon until the time of service beginning at 2 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Interment will be at the convenience of Richard's family.
