Robert "Bob" A. Gretzinger, 89, of St. Clairsville, OH, passed Sunday September 10, 2017 at Forest Hills Retirement Community. He was born in Wheeling, WV on August 15, 1928, a son of the late Charles and Esther Fundis Gretzinger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Alice Boyd. Bob was a life member of Military Order of the Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, AARP, Silver Beaver recipient and commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America, 5th Regimental Combat Team, U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, an avid Steeler and Pirate fan, and a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Jackie Conaway Gretzinger, a daughter Kathy (Robert) Dayton of Martins Ferry; granddaughter Brandi (Timmy) Bell, and grandson Bobby Dayton; great grandchildren: Alexis, TJ, Stevie, and Levi Bell. Friends will be received Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio where services will be held Thursday September 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport, with military honors provided by Belmont County Veteran's Association at the cemetery.
