Robert L. "Bob" Archer, 81, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, December, 25, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born June 18, 1938 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Paul D. and Alice M. (Hickinbotham) Archer.

Bob was retired from the Martins Ferry City School District. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry.

In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith (Brock) Archer, his second wife, Carole (Smith) Archer and his brother, Donald Paul Archer.

Surviving are his children: Cindy (Dan) McCardle of Galloway, OH, David S. (Marty Cochran) Archer of West Bellaire, OH, Michael T. Archer of Worthington, OH and Brian (Gina) Archer of Haydenville, OH and three grandchildren: Eric and Adam McCardle and Kara Archer.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday, 12 - 4 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows at West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA.

Deacons of the church will hold Bereavement Services, Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home
