Robert C. "Bob" McKinney, Sr., 71, of Pleasant Grove, Adena, OH died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at his home. He was born May 4, 1940 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Wilbur Garden and Kathryn Dale (Martz) McKinney. He was retired from the Beech Bottom Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, and also co-owner of the former Barb's Dinette, Martins Ferry, OH. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #38, Martins Ferry, and also a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, Korea. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara J. (Sambuco) McKinney, a daughter Michelle Dustman, a son John McKinney, a sister Sharon Dinapoli. Surviving are two daughters Jill L. (Thomas) Pritchett of Martins Ferry, OH, and Debra (Tim) Krantz of Colerain, OH, three sons Patrick W. Jobb of Martins Ferry, Michael J. Jobb of Pleasant Grove, OH, and Clinton McKinney of Independence, KS, a sister Mary (Bob) Warfield of Bethesda, OH, six grandchildren Brent Schyler, Terri Cecil, Betsy Krantz, Cassandra (Jason) Minzler, Naomi Krantz, and Derek V. Dustman, six great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ted Boggs officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
