Robert "Bob" Eugene Burnfield, 80, of Mingo Junction, OH, died Wednesday April 29, 2009 at UPMC, in Pittsburgh. He was born September 10, 1928, at New Freeport, PA, the son of the late Robert Edward and Pearl Marie (Rogers) Burnfield. Bob was a retired crane operator for Weirton Steel, a member of the American Legion, a member of both the Mingo Junction and Weirton Senior Citizen Centers, and a veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Virginia (Elliott) Burnfield. Bob is survived by his son Timothy Burnfield and his wife Betty of Lima, OH; a daughter Mary Kollling and her husband Jim of Mingo Junction; three sisters Elaine, Marie and Reajen; and a grandson Brian Huntington. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and on Monday from noon until time of service at 2 pm at Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home 115 Union Ave., Mingo Junction. Father James Dunfee will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville.
