View Memorial VideoRobert Paul Hadzima, 76, of Lansing, Ohio, died Saturday February 28, 2009 at East Ohio regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born in Bradley, Ohio on August 25, 1932, a son of the late George and Sophia Kaska Hadzima. Robert was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener; a retired coal miner with Saginaw Mining; a member of Lansing Sportsmen's Club; a member of the Colerain VFW, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jack Hadzima and a sister Doris Heartline. Robert is survived by his wife Mary Riba Hadzima; six sons: Robert Hadzima (Mary-Lynn) of Martins Ferry, Richard Hadzima (Dawn) of Bridgeport, Daniel Hadzima of Houston, TX., Michael Hadzima of Lansing, Edward Hadzima (Michelle) of Brookside, Andrew Hadzima (Jennifer) of Blaine; a brother George Hadzima (Jane) of Maynard, Ohio; ten grandchildren: Noah, Heather, Christopher, Kimberly, Kasandra, Ashley, Edward, Andrew, Riley and Johnna. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio where services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend John Mucha, officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.
