Robert Leroy Harris, 70, of Bridgeport, died Friday December 25, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Oh. He was born October 4, 1939 in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Lawrence and Martha (Walker) Harris. He was retired from the Naples Newspaper, a member of the VFW, NRA, ELKS and enjoyed hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William "Ted" Harris, three sisters, Mary Green, Betty Hungerman, and Margie Sindledecker. Robert is survived by two brothers, Bruce Harris of FL., Larry Harris of Spokane, WA, a sister Joann Nicola and her husband Charles of Naples, Fl, a step son Robert Hall of Wheeling, WV, and several nieces and nephews. Robert resided in Bridgeport for the past 5 years with his sister-in-law Frances Bowen. Services were held at the convenience of the family.
