Robert Lynn "Bob" Hastings Sr., of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, died Sunday July 31, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born January 19, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant to Thelma and the late Greene Barry Hastings. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the late 1950s. He was a retired truck driver from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He enjoyed working on cars and traveling around the area to junk yards looking for parts and going to auctions. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Agnes Maxey and a brother, Richard Hastings. In addition to his mother, now of Autumn Health Care, Adena, he is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Carol Dickerson Hastings and his children: Robin Rozenek and her husband John of Rayland, Michelle Eikenberry and her husband Vernon of Mt. Pleasant, Charla Kelley and her husband Sean of Mt. Pleasant, Robert Hastings Jr., and his wife Kathy of Easley, SC, and Stacey Hastings of Mt. Pleasant and a sister Melissa Hastings of St. Clairsville. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amanda Sliva and her husband Matthew, Jeremy Eikenberry, Sean and Kalyn Kelley, Alexandra and Johnny Rozenek, and Evan and Tyler Hastings. Friends will be received Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio, and also on Wednesday August 3, 2011 from 10 until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Schrader, officiating. Military Honors provided by the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mt.
