Robert L. Lutz Robert L. Lutz, 54, of North 5th Street, Martins Ferry, OH died Tues. Oct. 1, 2002 at Peterson Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Dec. 31, 1947 in Martins Ferry a son of Thelma Miller Lutz Bauknecht and the late John Paul Lutz. He was an employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Martins Ferry for thirty-six years and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post #3613, Redman, P. N. A. Lodge #2220, Eagles Aerie #456, American Legion #36 all of Martins Ferry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Vietnam. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Jeri Kay Lutz, three brothers Chas, Gene and Gary Lutz. Surviving in addition to his mother of Martins Ferry are a daughter Hope Marie Lutz of Wheeling, seven brothers Donald Lutz and his wife Nancy, Richard Lutz and his wife Mary, David Lutz and his wife Christy, Albert Lutz and his wife Shelly, Thomas Lutz all of Martins Ferry, Mark Lutz and his wife Polly of Columbus, and Jack Lutz and his wife Stephanie of AZ, a sister Mary Markus and her husband Jim of Martins Ferry and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Fri. at 10:00 AM with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove with full military graveside honors by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion Rosary devotions will be recited Thurs. at 3:00 PM followed by Wake services at 7:30 PM both in the funeral home.
