Robert Arless Mitchell, 73, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed Wednesday June 7, 2017 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born January 3, 1944, a son of the late Arless and Sylvia Atkins Mitchell. Robert was a retired crane operator at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, a U. S. Air Force Veteran and a Catholic by faith. He enjoyed motorcycling and fishing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Loraine Peacemaker and brothers: Charles, Arles, Donald, and Howard Mitchell. Robert is survived by a daughter Kimberly Mitchell of Martins Ferry, a sister Sylvia McFadden of Bellaire, nieces and nephews: Lisa (Aaron) Potts of Barton, Elizabeth Twardoski, Vickie Booth, Howard Mitchell, Carl Mitchell, Allen Mitchell and Karen Thompson. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Visitation and Service on Monday June 12, 2017 from 10:00 until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. John Mucha officiating, at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Inurnment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Rayland.
