Robert E. Overfield I, 56, of Glenns Run Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Thurs., Nov. 9, 2006 at home. He was born Aug., 25, 1950 in Wheeling, WV a son of Helen V. (Turner) Hanke and the late William F. Overfield. He was a retired self employed truck driver and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Martins Ferry, OH. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Dezeray Miller. Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father Norman Hanke of Rayland, OH are his wife Brenda (Scott) Overfield, two sons Robert E. "Rob" Overfield II and his fiancee Kami of St. Clairsville, OH and Michael Overfield of Martins Ferry, four daughters LauraKay Hawley and her husband Bud of Bethlehem, WV, Patricia Overfield, Michelle Heath and her husband Bill, and Cheyanne Overfield all of Martins Ferry, a brother William F. Overfield, Jr. and his wife Valerie of Denver, CO, a sister Gloria Surber and her husband Russell of Stockton, CA and four grandchildren Robert Harden, Nicholas and Danelle Hawley and Bill Heath, II. Friends will be received Mon., Nov. 13, 2006 from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Van Fisher officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH.
