Scheid, Robert E., 85, of Avon, Indiana, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Wednesday October 6, 2010 in Indiana. He was born in Wheeling, W. Va., on June 9, 1925, a son of the late John Scheid Sr. and Eleanor Brothers Scheid. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Ann Hores. Robert was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church Kirkwood; a retired electrician of IBEW Local #141 in Wheeling after serving 50 years; and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Robert is survived by his wife Martha Naomi Lenz Scheid; a daughter, Martha Mazur and her husband David of Coatesville, IN; a brother John Scheid Jr. of New Condord, Ohio; a sister Joan Bachie of Bridgeport, Ohio; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday October 16, 2010 from 10 am until the time of service at 12 Noon, with Reverend James Hoff, officiating at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio.
