TOGETHER AGAIN:

Robert E. Shepherd 90, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday October 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 22, 1932, in Wheeling, a son of the late Charles A. and Marie (Coyne) Shepherd.

He was a retired employee of Version Telephone Co. a member of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church Bridgeport, a veteran of the Korean War in the US Army. Bob was one of the founders of the Wheeling Amateur Hockey Association, also he was a coach, and referee. Bob also served as off ice official for the Wheeling Nailers for many years.

In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Ann (Gibas) Shepherd, a brother Charles W. Shepherd, and a sister Anna Marie Slaga.

Bob is survived by his children Joanne Shepherd and her husband Mark Subasic of Bridgeport, Thomas F. (Jeannie) Shepherd of Stoneville, NC, Patrick (Arleen) Shepherd of Naples, ME, and Michael (Amber) Shepherd of Lebanon, OH, fourteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Saturday October 29, 2022, from 9 am till time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church Bridgeport, with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant, interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Wheeling. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice 10686 St. Rt. 150 Rayland, Ohio 43943.
