ROBERT "KIRK" THOMPSON, 46, of North 10th Street, Martins Ferry, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at his home. He was a member of Harbor of Hope Assembly of God in St. Clairsville. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents George and Gertrude Idahl, and paternal grandfather William Thompson. Kirk is survived by his parents William and Carol (Idahl) Thompson of Martins Ferry; three brothers Bill and his wife Thoma of Shadyside, Scott and his wife Lei of Koha, Hawaii, and Darrin and his wife Joell of Colerain; paternal grandmother Dorothy (Hastings) Thompson and aunt and uncle Chuck and Peggy Foose all of Bridgeport; three nephews Brad, Corey, and Derien Thompson; two nieces Nikki Jo Thompson and Lacey Ronevich; several great nieces and nephews; cousins Terry and Tracy Boyles; and special friend Lisa Stevens.
