Robert W. "Bob" Harris, 81, of Glenns Run Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Fri., May 20, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born Jan. 21, 1924 in Martins Ferry a son of the late John and Louisa (Morris) Harris. He was retired after 48 years service from East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, a member of V.F.W. Post #481l, Yorkville, OH, and a veteran of the U.S. Army WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Shelia Marie Harris, six brothers Henry, Wilbur, John, Harry, Allan and Tom Harris, and a sister Ida Brown. Surviving are his wife Vera F. (Jones) Harris, a daughter Brenda Stewart and a granddaughter Amanda (Bill) Thomas all of Martins Ferry, two great grandchildren Emily and Ellie Thomas, and several nieces and nephews including Arguell Harris. Friends will be received Sun., 12-3 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Mon., May 23, 2005 at 1:00 PM with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
