ROBERT L. WESTFALL, SR., 86, of Bridgeport, formerly of Wheeling, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Heartland Lansing Care Center. He was born April 19, 1922 in Wheeling, the son of the late George and Mildred Westfall. Robert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookside. He was a retired sheet metal worker with Local #33 and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Westfall and a sister June Westfall. Robert is survived by his wife Gertrude Westfall of Bridgeport; a son Robert Westfall, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; four daughters Kay Volan and her husband Ted of Atlanta, GA, Elaine Wear-Nadler and her husband Geoff of Jacksonville, FL, Bonnie Jacovetty and her husband Jeff of Rayland and Sherry Tilton and her husband Jim of Summerland, CA; a brother Richard Westfall of Jacobsburg; as well as five grandchildren Pat and Mike Volan, Christopher Wear, Michael Bennett, and Whitney Salerno.Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 am with Reverend Karen Torrez officiating. Interment will follow at West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA.
