Robert E. Wolfe, Jr., 79, of Belmont, Ohio died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born February 17, 1933 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late Robert E. Wolfe, Sr. and Hilda Finnicum Wolfe. Robert was a devoted husband,father, and grandfather. He had worked as a carpenter for Local #3 and was a member of The American Legion of Belmont. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1951-1955, during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Kenneth Sole. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marlene Jeffries Wolfe of Belmont, Ohio; his two sons, Robert (Theresa) Wolfe III of Belmont, Ohio and Brian (Vickie) Wolfe of Kahlotus, Washington; four grandchildren, Colton, Breaze, Joshua, and Stephanie; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner; one sister, Jeanine Anderson of Bridgeport, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., where the service will follow at 4 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Interment will be private and at the convenience of Robert's family. The American Legion will conduct Military Honors at 3:45 p.m. The family would especially like to thank the I.C.U. staff at East Ohio Regional Hospital for the excellent care given to Robert.
