ROBERTA ANN THOMAS, 75, of Swingle Rd. Farmington, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born July 19, 1932 in Barton, the daughter of the late Mike and Josephine Yalen Smigle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother James Smigle and a sister Patricia Dolence. Roberta is survived by her husband David Thomas of Farmington; three sons David and his wife Tina of Brookwood, AL, Dirk and his wife Donna of Charleston, SC and Brian and his fiancée Jill of Farmington; two daughters Darcy Contois and her husband Albert of Charleston, SC and Lori Timmer and her husband Mark of Farmington; two brothers Michael Smigle of Farmington and David Smigle and his wife Cindy of Warren, OH; a sister Janet Jones and her husband Ronald of Piedmont, OH; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 am. Interment will follow at Farmington Cemetery, Farmington.
