Rodney "Donny" D. Palmer Sr., 68, of Martins Ferry, passed away on Saturday, March 16 in Peterson Rehab Center, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on August 12, 1950 a son of the late, Lawrence and Bernice (Burge) Palmer.  He was formerly employed by North American Coal at Powhatan #4 mine and enjoyed playing Bingo, trips to Wheeling Downs and spending time with his family, friends and his dog Chevy at home.

Donny is survived by his wife, Debra (Stevey) Palmer of Martins Ferry; children, Lisa (Jason) Nuzum of NC, Jamie (Stacey) Stevey of Barnesville, Rodney Palmer Jr. and Nikki (Ben) Antill all of Martins Ferry; sisters, Diane (Mike) Kolenich and Shirley Underwood; brothers, Lawrence Palmer (Vera Kuhn), Rich (Donna) Palmer and Bobby (Linda) Palmer; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  The family is being served by the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
