Rodney Allen Hale 55, of Shackleford VA, died peacefully at his mother's home in Bridgeport Oh., Sunday January 24, 2010, after his two year battle with cancer, he was born July 17th, 1954 in Martins Ferry, the only son of Paul Hale and Joan Sutton Skidmore. He was a Construction foreman and welder for Interior Specialty Construction Co. Providence Forge VA., and a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church Brookside. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Tara Burdine Hale, one son James "J.P." LaRue of Frostburg Md., five sisters Cindi Blodgett, and Penny (Jody) Thoburn, both of Bridgeport, Becky Billingsley and Jennifer Darnley both of Mooresville N.C., and Francie Skidmore of Ravenna OH., six grandchildren twenty-four nieces and nephews. Members of the family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Wednesday January 27, 2010 from 11 till the time of service at 1 pm with the Reverend Karen Torrez officiating interment will be at the convenience of the family.
