Roger Lee "Bates" Michalo, 61, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Sunday March 31, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on July 12, 1951, a son of the late Edward and Genevie Fithen Michalo. Roger was a former employee of Norfork & Southern Railroad; and a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. He was an avid computer user and loved car racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Edward Michalo. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Linda Glover Michalo; a son Cody Lee Michalo; sisters: Linda (Andrew) Koran, Shirley Greaves, all of Dillonvale; brothers: Larry (Karen) Michalo of Mt. Pleasant; Roy (Robin) Michalo, Randy (Marge) Michalo, all of Dillonvale; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. In keeping with Roger's wishes, there will be no visitation. Roger was often heard saying "visit me when I'm here, not when I'm gone". The family is being assisted by Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio.
