Ronald Dale Baker, 80 of Rayland passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Gables of Hopedale. He was born March 19, 1944, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Donald L. Sr. and Clara A. (Mobley) Baker.

Ron retired as a heavy Equipment operator for Marietta Coal Company after 35 years.  He was Methodist by faith, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the Yorkville V.F.W., American Legion – Brilliant Post #573.  He was a great outdoors person and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald L. Baker, Jr., Donald Delmont Baker, Ray Baker, sisters, Margie Ferrell, Patty Ludwig, and Remona Tabacci.

Surviving is the mother of his daughter, Ellen Baker, daughter, Alecia M. Baker of Cincinnati, little girl Molly, brother Roy Baker of TN, and many, many nieces, and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4-7pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, 43935.  A funeral service will be held at 7pm with Rev. James Hoff officiating.  Military Honors will be presented at the funeral home by the Belmont County Veterans Association.

Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the Family at Holly Memorial Garden, Pleasant Grove, OH.
