Obituary

Ronald Allen Baker Sr., 64, of Lansing, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born on October 12, 1959, a son of the late John and Jacqueline (Wilson) Baker. Ron attended church at The Church of Christ, St. Clairsville, he was a retired from the US Post Office in Wheeling, served his country in the US Army stationed in Hawaii with his buddy Raymond Pitcher, was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #181, the American Legion and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was a kind, giving and helpful man who would go above and beyond to help anyone, never having known a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Darlene (Nowakowski) Baker; sons, Ronald A. Baker Jr., and Aaron M. (Morgan) Baker; a sister, Malynda Baker; brothers, Donald (Terri) Baker, and James (Cynthia) Baker; four granddaughters, Kailee, Oaklynn, Logan and Atlass, who he adored with all his heart; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Nico Marie.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Cameron A. Baker; sisters, Ruth Davies, and Marcy Jo Baker; brothers, John, Robert, and Terry Baker.

Friends may call Sunday from 3-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.  Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.  Military Honors provided by the Belmont Veterans Association.
