Ronald E.""Ron"" Byrd 60, of Howard Street Bridgeport, died Friday Sept. 18, 2009 at his home. He was born January 26, 1949 in Martins Ferry, son of the late Bert E. ""Peck"" and Leota Mae (Young) Byrd. Ron was an employee of the former Big Bear Dept. Store, the Eagles #995 both of Bridgeport, the Cave Club of Wheeling, and a Catholic by faith. He is survived by a brother Randy Byrd and his wife Margery, of Erlanger Ky., a sister Karen Gray and her husband Mark of Bridgeport, two nephews and two nieces, Branden and Kaylyn Gray of Bridgeport, and Justin and Danielle Byrd of Erlanger Ky. Members of the family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Tuesday 4-8p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
