Ronald Eugene Hickenbottom, 75, of Holloway, Ohio was born Nov 8, 1946 in Wheeling, WV and died Apr 27, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving and caring family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, the late George & Charlotte Hickenbottom, by his wife of 49 years, Melody Lynn Hickenbottom. Also two brothers, Herman and Richard Hickenbottom.

He is survived by his daughters; Heather (Gilbert) Peters and Jennifer (Shane) Cochran. Grandchildren; Courtney Cochran (Dyllan Jones), Tyler (Shae) Brown, Travis (Alicia) Peters, Rusty (Leanne) Peters, Gage (Paula) Peters and great-grandson, Jamison Vaughn Brown.  Also siblings; Wayne (Janet) Hickenbottom, Beverly (Howard) Shartzer, Paulette (John) Ayres, David (Teresa) Hickenbottom, Clarence (Patti) Hickenbottom, Georgina (John) Parrish, John (Kay) Hickenbottom and several nieces and nephews.

Ron worked as a deputy sheriff for Belmont and Guernsey counties for 14 years.  He served in the US Marine Corp and was a member of the American Legion Post 366 in Flushing, Ohio.  He received the Silver Star medal for the Vietnam War.

Family and Friends are encouraged to visit the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda, Ohio on Wed, May 4, 2022 from 11am to time of service at 1pm.  Burial will follow at the Rock Hill Cemetery in Flushing, Ohio.
