Ronald Jay Montgomery 61 of Bridgeport died Thursday February 16, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1950 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Earl Jay and Elnora (Darnley) Montgomery. He was a retired employee of the former Reichart's Furniture Store in Martins Ferry, and Heilig-Myers in Wheeling, a member of the Bridgeport Eagles #995, and a Methodist by Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-father Louis Dietrich. He is survived by his loving companion of 26 years Caroline Davey, two daughters Stephanie Montgomery of Columbus, and Rhonda Coleman of Wheeling, two step-daughters Mary Higgins of Smithfield, and Ruth (James) Owens of Martins Ferry, a uncle Edward Dietrich of Yorkville, three grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Sunday February 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where services will be held on Monday at 11 am with Rev.
