Ronald E. Sanders, 71, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away Tuesday March 29th, at Liza's Place. He was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on July 29th, 1944, a son of the late L.B. Sanders and Judith Ross Sanders. Ronald was retired after 25 years employed by Snyder Trucking. He later owned his own truck. Ronald was also the owner operator of Direct Carpet. He was a US Navy veteran serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He belonged to the Ohio Valley Street Survivors Car Club and was a Presbyterian by faith. Ronald is survived by his wife, Diane (Shramek) Sanders, children Robbie (Susan) Sanders of Selma N.C., Reverend Mike (Tricia) Sanders of Atlanta, GA, Pam Carpenter of Martins Ferry OH, and Amy (Brian) Latham of Bethesda OH along with a brother Dwight (Bonnie) Sanders of Kemly N.C., 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Bridgeport, where services will be held on Friday at 11 am with the Reverend Mike Sanders officiating, interment at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full military graveside will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Schiffler Cancer Center 1 Medical Park Dr. Wheeling, WV 26003.
