Ronald G. Shepherd, 69, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at his home after a long battle with ALS. He was born November 11, 1941 in Bethesda, OH son of the late John Vernon Shepherd and Helen Grimes Shepherd. Ronnie was a retired bus driver with the Union Local Schools and a Methodist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Jones Shepherd; daughters, Susan (Lenny) Hannahs of Barnesville, Sherri (Ron) Lucas, and Dawn (Scott) Otto, all of Bethesda; grandchildren, Trey, Shane and Cody Hannahs, Tiffany and Anthony Lucas, Devin, Shayla and Cortney Otto; sister, Charlotte (Dee) Lucas of Bethesda; brothers, Larry (Macil) Shepherd of Coshocton, John (Anne) Shepherd of Spring Hill, FL. At Ronnie's request, services and burial will be at the convenience of his family. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
